Was established in South London in 1973. Known for its lively style and bright, bold acting, Orleta love getting into character for every dance they perform, bringing to life the bustling town of Lwow, the charms of a Lowicz village, and, as seen at this year’s prestigious “Bal Polski”, the courtly mazurka.
Members come from all over London and beyond to get to our weekly lessons. With ages ranging from 5-15 and 16 to 40, Orleta brings together 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation Poles to learn regional and national dances. Accompanied by our wickedly talented accordionist Eugeniusz, the atmosphere is always cheerful and friendly, nurturing a strong sense of belonging among the group’s many spirited personalities.
